I'm looking for a good and cheap VPS to host a small Minecraft server.
I had some bad experiences with Minecraft on OpenVZ (not running, memory errors) while on KVM servers it works correctly.
Which OpenVZ kernel do Prometeus nodes have? Do java programs run without problems?
Java on OpenVZ
Re: Java on OpenVZ
Hello !
We have .32 kernel.
Minecraft is working well even on overzold plans.
There are some issues with java on OVZ but those are more related to the network part since some protocols are not working well on venet or not at all.
If you had memory problems and failures that is either due to overloaded server or because of .18 kernels which have no vswap and are known to cause problems.
